High-Speed Vehicles in Low-Pressure Tunnels—Influence of Choked Flows

نویسندگان

چکیده

The aerodynamics of high-speed vehicles in evacuated tunnels is studied with particular reference to the consequences choked flow conditions at tails vehicles. It shown that this has a dominant influence on overall (pressure, temperature, velocity). Together need for tunnel system be closed, high speeds cause aerodynamic behaviour differ greatly from conventional railway tunnels. A key purpose paper assess relative importance large range parameters and, clarity, completed by focussing single vehicle closed both ends. Consideration then given interactions between more than one and twin-tube configuration which occur moving opposite directions. closes brief mention system-dependent matters considered addition generic investigated herein.

The Effect of Low Friction in Pavement Due to Floods and High-speed Vehicles in Increasing the Number of Rescue Vehicles\' Driving Accidents

Background: The rescue operation is dangerous during floods when the street surface is wet and the rescue vehicles moving fast. Rural roads are known with a high percentage of run-off-the-road crashes and accidents, mostly affected by the unsuitable and inappropriate speed of the car and failure to keep a safe side distance from the highway alignment. Determining the length of the vertical curv...

Study of Parameters Affecting Separation Bubble Size in High Speed Flows using k-ω Turbulence Model

Shock waves generated at different parts of vehicle interact with the boundary layer over the surface at high Mach flows. The adverse pressure gradient across strong shock wave causes the flow to separate and peak loads are generated at separation and reattachment points. The size of separation bubble in the shock boundary layer interaction flows depends on various parameters. Reynolds-averaged...

Low Complexity and High speed in Leading DCD ERLS Algorithm

Adaptive algorithms lead to adjust the system coefficients based on the measured data. This paper presents a dichotomous coordinate descent method to reduce the computational complexity and to improve the tracking ability based on the variable forgetting factor when there are a lot of changes in the system. Vedic mathematics is used to implement the multiplier and the divider in the VFF equatio...

Control of High-Speed Underwater Vehicles

I (GB) was fortunate that early in my career I had the opportunity to work with Keith Glover. Keith had just begun his obsession with golf. A simple game where a ball stands still and the player advances it from different parts of the landscape into a hole. During a golf outing, Keith vigorously struck a ball off the fairway. It drove through a water hazard and miraculously ended up a few feet ...

Stability measurement of high-speed vehicles

Vehicle rollover represents a significant percentage of single-vehicle accidents and accounts for over 9000 fatalities and over 200,000 non-fatal injuries each year. Previous research has yielded rollover stability control systems that are effective in on-road conditions.Accident statistics show, however, that over 90% of rollovers involve road departure, during which a vehicle may encounter sl...
